My love for animals started when I was a little girl, deeply inspired by my older sister who filled our childhood home with everything from dogs to pigs. From her influence, my journey into dog care began in 2007, when I adopted my sweet Boston Terrier. We spent 14 beautiful years together, I raised him from a tiny puppy and cared for him all the way through his senior years and end-of-life care. That incredible experience taught me firsthand the active patience a puppy needs as well as the specialized, gentle devotion required by sweet senior dogs.

Years later, my daughter started to express a real love of dogs which led us to discover our local SPCA. Inspired by her passion, we opened our heart and home to foster a dog, helping her build confidence and socialization skills on her journey to finding a forever home.

Following a sudden layoff from my career in customer service management in November 2025, I decided to pivot my experience of communication, logistics, and client care skills into this lifelong passion for dogs. I started taking on my first independent clients to test the waters and the response from local Chester County dog parents was so beautifully positive that Julie’s Canine Care was officially born. Today I am proud to have earned their trust and over 150 five-star reviews and counting.

My Junior Helper, my daughter, is my enthusiastic right-hand assistant! She has inherited a massive love for dogs and is my official Head of Belly Rubs and Toy Testing. Together, we make sure every doggy feels the love and care they deserve.
